Stevens Equine LLC was formed in the early spring of 2015 under the belief that high quality veterinary care can be provided while maintaining customer satisfaction through communication and understanding. Based in the heart of Northern Illinois horse country and near Lamplight Equestrian Center, we are centrally located to be able to provide veterinary service to the region.
Veterinary medicine, similar to human medicine, has evolved into a field of specialization and focus among its practitioners. Following with this Stevens Equine will be focused on the care of performance or sports horses. These performance animals are not unlike human athletes, ranging in skill level from “professional” to “weekend-warrior.” With the different skill levels and the associated expectations of their owners comes a variety of client needs. Dr. Stevens has experience as an equine competitor and horseman, providing him with a knowledge base to assist him in effectively selecting treatment options and therapies to help maximally heal the horse, promoting the successful return to competition.
